"In this series of works I adopt slab forming and stilt firing techniques. Through a deconstructive reconstruction approach, I have preserved the essential characteristics of animals in some pieces while consciously refining the expression of surfaces and lines. The goal of my work is to showcase the dynamics of flowing space and the rhythm of fragmented forms.

我這組作品採用泥片成型和托燒工藝，通過分解重構的手法，部分作品保留了動物的基本特徵，同時也有意識地提煉面與線的表現語言。我的作品旨在展現流動空間的動態與碎片化形式的節奏。"

Biography of XU Zhiwei

XU Zhiwei is currently a lecturer in Ceramic Art Design at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Ceramic Art Design from the China Academy of Art, establishing a solid foundation in his field.

With years of dedication to ceramic art creation and education, Xu's artistic practice blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary concepts. He emphasizes material experimentation and cultural expression, showcasing a distinctive artistic vision.

Since 2009, Xu has actively participated in numerous exhibitions and has received multiple accolades, including the Excellence Award at the 11th National Art Exhibition, the Excellence Award at the 12th National Art Exhibition in 2014, and recognition at the 13th National Art Exhibition in 2019. He has also garnered several gold and silver awards in national and provincial ceramic design competitions. Notably, he contributed to the design of celadon gifts for national leaders at the G20 summit. Additionally, he has been recognized with the Emerging Artist Award at the Jingdezhen International Ceramics Biennale twice, in 2021 and 2023. In 2024, he completed a project funded by the National Arts Fund aimed at supporting young artists.

His works are featured in prestigious collections, including those at the Zhejiang Provincial Museum, China Academy of Art, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts University Town Art Museum, and the Dehua Ceramics Museum.

徐志偉簡介

徐志偉現任廣州美術學院陶瓷藝術設計專業的講師。他本科與碩士均畢業於中國美術學院陶瓷藝術設計專業，奠定了扎實的專業基礎。

多年來，徐志偉深入陶瓷藝術的創作與教育，致力於將傳統工藝與當代觀念相結合。他的藝術實踐注重材料實驗與文化表達，展現出獨特的藝術視角。

自2009年起，徐志偉積極參展並屢獲殊榮，包括第十一屆全國美展、第十二屆全國美展的優秀獎（2014年），以及第十三屆全國美展的進京獎（2019年）。他還多次榮獲全國及省級陶藝設計金、銀獎，並曾參與G20峰會國家領導人青瓷禮品的設計。此外，他在景德鎮國際陶藝雙年展中兩度獲得新銳獎（2021、2023），並於2024年完成國家藝術基金青年藝術創作人才項目。
